Marketing for Passion Projects
A business isn't worth having if it isn't a passion project.
It doesn't need to be a lifestyle business (although I like those), and it doesn't even have to be a great fit for my personal marketing passion of Pinterest (though that's a nice bonus). It merely has to be something you love that makes the world a better place in some way - large or small.
As a marketer, when I take on a project, it's because I believe in it and I believe in you. I'm in your corner and I'm invested in your success.
I can be a one-time marketing helper, or we can build your business together over years. It's really up to you.
Have you read this one? “I stopped using all schedulers on Pinterest and my traffic increased by 700%!” It goes right along with the “you should always delete underperforming pins –... Read more →

I've been writing about marketing for years on Scalable Social Media and HubSpot, but I wanted a place to call my own. Somewhere I could share my random thoughts of marketing and a little more of myself.
I've been creating marketing strategies for years - for both B2C and B2B businesses as co-owner and chief strategist of Scalable Social Media and as a consultant for other agencies. I have a passion for businesses that make the world a better place in ways large and small, and the people who run those businesses are the ones I enjoy working with.
This is the place to get to know me if you are looking for someone to help with your content strategy or social media, you need a speaker for your next event, or a guest for your podcast or HOA.
It's also the place I'll share some behind-the-scenes action from my Superheroes of Marketing podcast. Hope you like it.
Content and Social Strategies
A deep look into your business will provide me with a clear look at the people who need your product or services - what their challenges are, how you make their lives better. Then I'll figure out what they are looking for and where, and craft a strategy that may involve website adjustments, blogging, downloadable content offers and social media plans.
What you'll come away with is a deeper understanding what you need to provide to your customers. Not just an overall idea, but a concrete plan for copy changes, titles and format suggestions for blog posts, content offers and a plan for implementing a successful social media routine. At that time, you can choose to implement them yourself, or engage my help for executing some or all of the suggested actions.
Once you have your strategy mapped out, you might find that the results you want require more time and effort than you have. If you need help with blog posts, offer creation, or email campaigns, I can help.
Prices vary, but for a ballpark figure: Blog posts with images and SEO best practices are $100/each. Offer creation starts at $500/each. Email campaign creation starts at $75/each after initial setup.
What kind of marketing would work for my business? Are their underlying issues to address first?
Book a one-hour consultation with me and we'll talk about your business, goals, and current activities.
At the end of the hour, I'll put together a brief outline of our findings and a suggestion for next steps.
Should you decide to engage me for a full content and social strategy, the price of the consultation will be credited to future services.
Social Media Setup & Management
As with content creation, effective social media setup and management takes time and an understanding of the platforms and, more importantly, your business. We can help with one or more of Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest, and more.
Prices vary depending on your needs, but services start at $399/month.
